Christmas Snow

Merry Christmas everyone !  Christmas has come and gone after 10 Masses at St. Helen's the troops are a little weary.  Christmas was beautiful for us in Westfield and the neighboring boros.  Mare and I went to Bon's, as you will see in a few of the photos.  Got back to town and was greeted with the snows.  I believe it is well over 24 inches.  The plows came and did a great job as did Chris, our plant manager.  Fr. Tad got a chance to play with the snow plow, I think he had a great time.

I am talking about all this because I am trying to avoid what needs to be done, namely pack.  Departure is nine days away.  I feign business to avoid what needs to be done.  At least I know what I am doing, which is nothing about moving, rather storing before a move to Berkeley Heights.  Yes, there is the trip in between.  I'll get to that eventually.

I pray your Christmas is going well and the the  New Year will be filled with peace, love, joy and happiness.

On the Move

I am fighting the thought of moving.  There are boxes and then there are boxes.  Fortunately the staff is willing to pitch in.  I am not sure if this is there generous spirit or is it there joy of my moving out.  Whatever they are willing to help.  I am their biggest stumbling block.

I board Virgin Air on 1/4/11 and fly to London.  I board the Queen Elizabeth1/5/11 in Southampton.  I disembark 4/30/11 and will stay in London till 5/5/11 when I return to the States.  I am circumnavigating the world.  It will be a fantastic trip.

Side note, I will also retire 7/1/11.  So I will not return to St. Helen's when I come home.  I will be in residence at Little Flower Parish, Berkeley Heights, NJ.  There are a lot of changes going on in my life, but happy changes.

I will keep you informed as I travel the world and as I prepare to take off
from Westfield.
